Many thanks to our FTE Booster Club for some great new selections for our class library!! The kids were (seriously) fighting over who could read which book first.
Today was the day for the ever anticipated Falcon Frolics. We had a BLAST!!! Coach Lewis and Coach Presley always go out of their way to make sure the kids have incredible sportsmanship and teamwork. I got SOOOO many compliments from volunteers about the amazing job with sportsmanship the class had. (YEAH US)
However, I got one photo to save on my camera (which does make my heart happy I captured this) -- apparently, I was shooting photos on a full memory phone :( If you have pictures PLEASE drop them in the below listed folder me me, I'd be forever grateful! https://drive.google.com/a/eanesisd.net/folderview?id=0BylN2wqbl5YnT21OYmZsMkVVWFk&usp=sharing With the blood (joking), sweat (NO JOKE!), and tears (just a few) -- we were able to accomplish our first major undertaking of the year. For those with older children, you know what a treasure this is to have....or wish you didn't have depending on how long your child has held on to these. For those of you with this being your first experience, I assure you this hot air balloon will fly in your child's room for many years to come. I can't say how much I appreciate all the helping hands it took to take on this project. We did this activity in conjunction with our study of continents, oceans, hemispheres, directions and so much more.
Enjoy!! (I apologize if I didn't get your child, I was back and forth between class and the porch and all over -- I tried to get as many as I could) The students were given the option to put a "tune" to this song to help them remember the parts of a letter - this was an optional activity a few students decided to participate in...I hope you enjoy our SillY LearninG. (Lyrics are posted below as well)
